I received this trimmer as a Christmas Present and have used it 2 times this Spring. The one thing I love about it is the fact that it has a little plastic piece in the handle that allows the power cord to hook into and IT WON'T UNPLUG by mistake. That's huge with me. It is also lighter weight that I thought it would be. I haven't used the rotating handle because it takes time to turn it and it's not worth it for the small jobs I'm dong. The spacing between the cutting blades is wider than my old hedger. I would have to let the blades eat into some of the limbs. I bought these trimmers to replace a older Black and Decker 20 inch trimmer. So far they have worked very well and has reduced the time needed to trim the 27 landscape bushes I have in the yard. The reason I bought this trimmer is because my 85 year old mother has some very large and old (thick branched) shrubs and at 61, too many physical problems prevent me from spending hours with manual clippers. With this trimmer, it took me less than 20 minutes to trim 4 shrubs that hadn't been trimmed in a few years. I have had a shorter, standard B&D hedge trimmer for years which still works great, I might add, but I have large shrubs and hedges and I had a hard time trimming them. Then I found the 24 in. trimmer!! I am a short woman and I need all the reach I can get when trimming shrubs and this 24 in. trimmer is wonderful. I can now reach all the way to the back of my shrubs while standing in front of them. (I am horribly afraid of snakes and before I would have to venture into the flower bed to get the backs) and not have to go traipsing around in the beds. I had a little trouble at first because the length of the hedge trimmer is so long. I'm use to a smaller length one. But it works out well cutting off small tree limbs higher up. The spacing between the cutting blades is wider than my old hedger. I would have to let the blades eat into some of the limbs. I bought these trimmers to replace a older Black and Decker 20 inch trimmer. So far they have worked very well and has reduced the time needed to trim the 27 landscape bushes I have in the yard. The reason I bought this trimmer is because my 85 year old mother has some very large and old (thick branched) shrubs and at 61, too many physical problems prevent me from spending hours with manual clippers. With this trimmer, it took me less than 20 minutes to trim 4 shrubs that hadn't been trimmed in a few years. Product was very good. Everything it says it is. More heavy duty than the standard hedge trimmer, swiveling handle is very useful for odd angles. My only issue at all was it is slightly heavier than cheaper models. Being 69, 5'4" and 110 pounds, my arms did get slightly tired after a couple hours of trimming! But it did a fantastic job! I have had a shorter, standard B&D hedge trimmer for years which still works great, I might add, but I have large shrubs and hedges and I had a hard time trimming them. Then I found the 24 in. trimmer!! I am a short woman and I need all the reach I can get when trimming shrubs and this 24 in. trimmer is wonderful. I can now reach all the way to the back of my shrubs while standing in front of them. (I am horribly afraid of snakes and before I would have to venture into the flower bed to get the backs) and not have to go traipsing around in the beds. I want to say that my family has bought B&D products for the last 30+ years but one of my favorite has been the 24" rotating hedge trimmer that we purchased earlier this year. I love this product, it cuts branches, limbs so smooth it's like cutting into butter. It takes up to thicker diameter branches, the handle rotates to accommodate left or right hands, positions going at difficult angles. Has a 24" reach on it so it saves your back & shoulder reaching Lightweight for the amount of power that's packed into this awesome yard tool.
